The Laboratory Theatre Company is a real-world theatre company operated by students of the Department of Theatre & Dance at Missouri State University. The LTC exists to help students develop the skills for producing a full-scale theatre season--choosing shows and venues, hiring artistic staff, managing budgets, creating marketing campaigns, etc. The LTC also contributes to the greater theatre community of Springfield through partnerships with local theatre organizations and charitable nonprofits.
But this one-of-a-kind opportunity for theatre students at Missouri State University needs your help! In order to maintain rigorous, high-quality theatre and partnerships, the Laboratory Theatre Company is looking to raise at least $2000 to help cover the costs for venues and licensing fees--two of the most expensive aspects in producing theatre. Further funds will go to help pay for and maintain our lighting and sounds equipment, costumes, sets, and props. Your donation will go toward helping theatre students learn how to bring theatre to communities here in Springfield, MO and around the country as students graduate and translate these skills into the professional world of theatre.
