The MSU Care Clinic provides free healthcare to low-income, uninsured adults who are not eligible for Medicare or Medicaid. When people are struggling to make ends meet, healthcare is often the first expense to be cut. This is not only due to the high cost of healthcare services for the uninsured, but there are also many barriers to healthcare for this population.
MSU Care believes in providing comprehensive, compassionate health care to their patients. The clinic provides prescription medications, lab studies, x-rays, and mental health services in one location, and at no charge to the patient.
In addition to medical services, they also provide non-medical items that reduce some of the barriers to healthcare for the uninsured population. This includes bus passes and personal hygiene products such as soap, shampoo, toothbrushes, and much more!
However, these items are only available when there have been donations, and so many patients utilize this extra service that the clinic has been unable to keep up with the demand.
Join us on our mission to better serve the underserved at MSU Care!
