We need your help to support students in their time of need! Alumni and friends of the university have been contacting the Missouri State University Foundation to see how they can help students that have been impacted by the catastrophic flooding across the Midwest. MSU West Plains has been heavily affected, but the flooding has also been widespread in St. Louis, Southwest Missouri and Northern Arkansas.
No matter where our MSU students may call home, if they have been impacted by flooding and it is creating a financial burden, there is help through the Emergency Scholarship Fund.
There are more than 78+ students that are displaced at the West Plains campus alone. Many of their cars and personal items like books and computers are destroyed. Students that attend the Springfield campus that are from St. Louis, Arkansas, or Southwest Missouri may have their family home flooded or destroyed - the need at this time is great.
This fund originated in the aftermath of the Joplin, MO tornado disaster and it has provided hope and support for students in some of the most desperate circumstances. It provides scholarship support to help with educational expenses and helps ensure students continue their education.
Please consider a gift of any amount to help support students and share this project on social media. In a time of crisis, finishing school may not seem attainable. Your gift will have an impact and can give students the resources, encouragement and confidence to finish their degree.
Students interested in applying for the Emergency Scholarship Fund should contact the Office of Financial Aid at their respective campus.
*In addition, MSU alumni that make a qualifying gift of $25 or more receive an Active Alumni Member card.
