Support MSU Students Impacted by Disaster

We need your help supporting Missouri State students in their time of need! Alumni and friends of the university have been contacting the Missouri State University Foundation to see how they can help students that have been impacted by the catastrophic damage caused by recent natural disasters such as Hurricane Harvey, Irma, and widespread wildfires in the Northwest.

Many families of MSU students have been displaced as a direct result of these recent events. Additionally, the current student may also now have the only working family car or other necessary shared items.

No matter where our MSU students may call home, if they have been impacted by recent natural disasters that have created a financial burden, there is help through the Emergency Scholarship Fund.

This fund will be available to both current MSU students as well as  incoming students. Our goal is to ensure that each individual's education and Missouri State experience is not deterred by the impact of these recent natural disasters or other personal crisis.

The Emergency Scholarship Fund originated in the aftermath of the Joplin, MO tornado disaster. Since then, it has continued to provide hope and support for students in some of the most desperate circumstances. It provides scholarship support to help with educational expenses and helps ensure that students have the ability to pursue their degree.

Please consider a gift of any amount to help support these students. Also, please share this project on social media to spread the word to others who may want to help. In a time of crisis, finishing school may not seem attainable. Your gift will have an immediate impact and can give students the resources, encouragement, and confidence to finish their degree. 

Students interested in applying for the Emergency Scholarship Fund should contact the Office of Financial Aid at their respective campus.

*In addition, MSU alumni that make a qualifying gift of $25 or more receive an Active Alumni Member card.
