Nine Missouri State University Doctor of Physical Therapy students will be traveling to Entebbe, Uganda in March 2018. Students will be providing clinical services and education at the Sure Prospects Institution (SPI), an inclusive educational institution which provides services to children with disabilities, at neighboring villages through a SPI outreach program, and at Comprehensive Rehabilitation Services in Uganda (CoRSU), a children’s surgical rehabilitation hospital.
The total cost per student is $4,000. Funds raised will be used to pay for student immunizations, transportation, lodging, and meals. Donations received above and beyond the campaign goal will be used to provide transportation, medical consultation, and equipment (wheelchairs, walkers, crutches, etc.) for the Ugandan people.
Gifts of any amount are much appreciated and will help these nine students to realize their goal of providing physical therapy services abroad! Sharing this project via social media will allow us to spread the word to others who may want to help.
*In addition, MSU alumni that make a qualifying gift of $25 or more receive an Active Alumni Member card.
