Industrial-Organizational (I-O) Psychology Club is comprised of 30+ students from Missouri State University. I-O Psychologists are dedicated to making the workforce more effective for the organization and improving the well-being of its employees through careers in Human Resources, organizational development, business consulting, diversity & inclusion, occupational wellness, and research in academic settings.
A majority of club members are graduate students in Missouri State's masters program for I-O Psychology and are members of the professional organization, Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology (SIOP). SIOP will be holding their annual conference next year in Orlando, Florida from April 27-29th. Attending this conference is an invaluable opportunity for us by allowing us to network with other I-O professionals to gain entry into PhD programs, jobs, and internships. It also showcases the most current research being done in our field to help students with their thesis studies and expand their breadth of knowledge in many of our field's specialty areas.
An experience like attending SIOP is so important to young professionals like ourselves but like most graduate students, our budget is tight. We are doing everything we can to raise money for this trip but we need your help in making it a reality for us!
