The National Concrete Canoe Competition provides students with a practical application of the engineering principles they learn in the classroom, along with important team and project management skills they will need in their careers. The event challenges the students' knowledge, creativity and stamina, while showcasing the versatility and durability of concrete as a building material - ASCE
The 2017 MSU Concrete Canoe Team has big goals. We are raising funds to acquire the needed materials to construct a concrete canoe that will float on water. Our canoe and team will compete in 2017 ASCE Concrete Canoe Competition at University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, against other engineering schools from this area. This campaign will also help us to raise money to go towards our competition fees and travel expenses. Based on previous years results we are a team to beat. We are very hopeful that we will make it to the National level of the competition this year.
*In addition, MSU alumni that make a qualifying gift of $25 or more receive an Active Alumni Member card.
