Pop the College Bubble. Be Fully Present. Spread the Love. Missouri State's Immersion Programs allow students the opportunity to spend their breaks (spring, summer, fall) volunteering, immersed in the community. These experiences allow students to learn more about a community, immerse themselves in the culture and social issues that a community faces, and grow as a volunteer into an Active Citizen.
You will help our students live the public affairs mission and make a difference in the Indianapolis community by making a gift! Your donation will be used for travel expenses, including food, lodging, etc. In addition, donations will be used to offer extended service opportunities for Bear Breaks participants before and after their trip.
Support our #citizenbears as they travel to Indianapolis during their spring break to learn and serve. This trip is called Raising Social Awareness of Sustainable Practices in Indianapolis. As the 12th largest city in the United States, Indianapolis once had one of the largest carbon footprints. The city took action to diminish the footprint by starting sustainable practices and now has established businesses focused on reducing harm to the environment. On this trip, students will be learning about and serving with organizations that have successfully implemented sustainable practices or are in the process of making Indy a healthier place to live. They will be focusing on bringing back what they learn to help their own communities, and they will emphasize how they, as individuals, can be sustainable with their actions, and also have a healthier mind and body.
Thank you in advance for your support! Donors can qualify for multiple incentives based on their total gift. For example, a $100 donor will receive all the incentives listed up to and including the $100 level.
*In addition, MSU alumni that make a qualifying gift of $25 or more receive an Active Alumni Member card.
