BearCorps Cultural Competence Travel Awards

This campaign ended on May 15, 2018, but you can still make a gift to Missouri State University by clicking here!

Help us send students on an intercultural study away and volunteering trip in Ecuador!

Participants earn 6 credits in Spanish and also participate in guided service activities with several organizations in Quito. In addition to improving their Spanish, students receiving a travel award will enhance their cultural competence and make meaningful service contributions. Students are responsible for their own airfare, but we are raising money to help cover the rest of the experience so that it is more affordable for students to participate.

Your tax-deductible donation helps cover the student expenses for in-home boarding and tuition support at La Academia for up to 5 summer 2018 BearCorps participants. BearCorps is an intensive summer study abroad program created by the Department of Modern and Classical Languages and La Academia Latinoamericana, a language school in Quito, Ecuador.

*In addition, MSU alumni that make a qualifying gift of $25 or more receive an Active Alumni Member card.
