Tara Helwig Vining SLP Scholarship

Tara Helwig Vining, M.S., CCC-SLP '10 passed away on June 13, 2022. There is no real beginning and no real end to the sadness so many are feeling. She was the daughter, sister and friend that everyone wanted and loved. Her smile lit up the room, and her hugs meant the world to those who needed them most. She lived her life with an infectious laugh and an open heart. 

A star in her field, she was the Owner and CEO of TeleVine Therapy, which she established in 2014. Tara was awarded "Top Speech-Language Pathologist" in Ohio by Top Doctors in 2017, 2018, and 2019. She was also awarded "Top Speech-Language Pathologist" in 2018 and 2020 by Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare, giving her worldwide recognition. They had clinics operating in three states: Pennsylvania, Ohio, and West Virginia.

Tara's family recognizes her legacy of service and excellence began at Misericordia University. A proud graduate, her education and professional experiences inspired her to be a compassionate speech-language pathologist and entrepreneur. Paying it forward, Tara would often mentor and speak with current students as well as fellow graduates, sharing her life lessons and professional advice.
