About

Help us advance equity in K-12 education! One important way K-12 ed systems advance equity is through the recruitment and retention of a diverse staff. A racially diverse staff:

  • supports retention by “mitigating feelings of isolation, frustration, and fatigue” that can occur when one is an individual teacher or leader of color,
  • supports systems to disrupt harmful attitudes about people of color, including students and families,
  • increases academic, attendance, and college readiness performance, especially for students of color,
  • improves conditions for educators of color.

This Giving Tuesday, Lead by Learning is raising funds to support our BIPOC Leaders Network, a professional affinity space that furthers BIPOC educator retention and thriving by:

  • creating an inclusive community
  • amplifying BIPOC experiences, and
  • implementing effective strategies to support BIPOC educators' retention and thriving.

Donations will also support the launch a White Educators Anti-Racist Inquiry Network (WEAIN), a coalition of white colleagues investigating how they may be perpetuating unjust mindsets and practices in themselves and in others.

Every donation, regardless of its size, directly helps us center BIPOC voices, uncover equity challenges, and improve conditions to retain BIPOC educators and support their thriving. Thank you for supporting "Empower Equity"!

Happy Giving Tuesday! Help us make an impact with your donation!

Happy Giving Tuesday! Today, we come together as a community with a vision- to uplift and amplify the voices of our BIPOC educational leaders through the BIPOC Leaders Network and White Educators Anti-Racist Inquiry Network (WEAIN) initiatives. As we reflect on the significance of this day, we are reminded of the power of collective giving and its potential to create lasting impact within the education system.

The BIPOC Leaders Network and WEAIN are Lead By Learning’s commitment for this school year to implement anti-racist mindsets and practices into our program works. Our ultimate goal always revolves around the students; therefore, through these affinity networks, we are committed to make transformative changes that lead to an inclusive and equitable campus environment for both BIPOC teachers and students, where diverse voices are not only heard but celebrated!

Giving Tuesday is Tomorrow! Let’s Increase our Impact!

Just one day until Giving Tuesday, and you can help us advance equity in K-12 education by encouraging others to donate to our BIPOC Leaders Networks and White Educators Anti-Racist Inquiry Network.

During the 2023-24 school year, Lead By Learning is honored to be working with over 50 BIPOC and White educators across more than 12 school districts, all joining in to find solutions on how to:

  • Increase the retention of BIPOC educators
  • Develop a support system that prevents a staff of color from feeling isolated, frustrated and fatigued
  • Avoid perpetuating unjust mindsets and actions

This mission of ours wouldn't become possible without your continuous contribution! Every dollar raised will go directly towards our BIPOC Leaders Network, funding mentorship programs and workshops that help develop effective strategies to support BIPOC educators' retention and thriving. If you haven’t had the chance to share about your donation yet, tomorrow is the day to spread the word! Share our Giving Tuesday campaign page to make a difference!
