Support our DREAMers
MSU Denver is dedicated to increasing access, retention, and graduation rates for DREAMer students. DREAMers are young, undocumented immigrants who often experience considerable financial need, yet have no access to federal financial aid (scholarships, grants, loans, and work study programs). The Center for American Progress recently reported that 74% of undocumented students who left school reported this was due to financial difficulties.
Your Support
During our students' time of need, Roadrunner support is critical. You can help our students with a gift to any of these areas:
Immigrant Services: By donating to this fund, you help DREAMer students pay DACA renewal fees, access legal services, or take part in social events on campus. This fund provides DREAMers with special programs and services that provide assistance or build community to encourage them to stay in college and graduate.
Access Annual Scholarship: Your donation to this scholarship helps provide up to $4000 of scholarship support for 10+ DREAMer students with financial need each year. This scholarship is available to both full- and part-time DACA/DREAMer students.
Helen Grace Fenhaus Endowment: This endowed scholarship was established fall 2019 by a donor with a passion to help DREAMer /DACA students and others with financial need pursue their college dreams.
Barbara Grogan Annual Scholarship: Your gifts to this scholarship fund support DREAMer students who show motivation and a keen interest in learning, with promise in their chosen field.
Nueva Esperanza Endowed Scholarship: Your donation helps provide tuition to full-time students from migrant worker family backgrounds. Recipients of this scholarship have significant family responsibilities that at times can impact their ability to stay in school.
Open Door Endowed Scholarship: This scholarship was established by a faculty family to provide ongoing support for full-time DREAMer students. Your donation increases the amount of scholarship funding recipients will receive.
