Pi Lambda Chi Latina Sorority, Inc. - Beta Chapter is partnered with The MAIA Impact School which is the first female, indigenous-led secondary school in Central America that offers a holistic education focused equally on academics, culture and identity, socioemotional development, and family engagement. The mission of MAIA is to unlock and maximize the potential of young women to lead transformational change. Our active chapter is planning on visiting the MAIA Impact School which is located in Solola, Guatemala. We would be using the acquired funds to travel to Guatemala to visit the MAIA Impact School to conduct an interview with the students to discuss their experience at MAIA, their goals, their life back at home and how people can help the school further provide resources to more students within this region of Guatemala.
