MSU Denver: Student Emergency Fund 2020

This campaign ended on July 01, 2020, but you can still make a gift to Metropolitan State University of Denver by clicking here!

Student Emergency Fund
Now more than ever, our Roadrunner students need your support. With all teaching and learning now happening online – necessary to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 – MSU Denver students are facing new and added challenges. Many of our students rely on the campus as a lifeline for the basic necessities to care for themselves and their families: food, supplies, housing, jobs, computers and Wi-Fi, all of which are critical to their success.

Supporting the Student Emergency Fund directly impacts our students’ quality of life by helping them pay bills or access food during this uncertain time. Your gift can help them overcome these temporary obstacles, continue pursuing their educational goals and go on to make a difference in our community.

What is the Student Emergency Fund?
The Student Emergency Fund provides one-time emergency assistance to students who are dealing with an unanticipated life event - such as the impact of COVID-19. Your gift could provide resources like emergency housing assistance, urgent rent or utility assistance, costs related to the COVID-19 pandemic, and much more. Students can receive funding up to $500 one time during their academic career; only after they have exhausted all other funding options.

Your Support
The Student Emergency Fund allows students to remain focused on their educational goals instead of the financial toll of an emergency. Making a gift to the Student Emergency Fund supports student success and graduation rates by meeting the basic needs of our students. The Student Emergency Fund is made possible because donors like you!

Since the beginning of March, over 100 students have received support from the Student Emergency Fund. The amount of aid given to our students is dependent on the support we get from our generous donors. Thank you for providing our students with the support they need during unprecedented times.

MSU Denver is diligently monitoring the emerging cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Colorado. Learn more about MSU Denver's latest information and resources on COVID-19 here.
