MSU Denver Office of Education Solutions
The Office of Education
Solutions leads innovative action to address persistent problems of practice in
the preK-12 education community. We work with schools, districts, and
educational agencies in addressing issues, and collaborate on solutions in
teaching, curriculum, equity, and beyond. Our partners span the Denver Metro
area, the state of Colorado, and across the country.
Your support allows us to continue this vital work. Your gift supports our programs including affinity groups, the STEM Ecosystem, access for students with disabilities, addressing childhood trauma, and diversifying teacher representation and Black male teacher development – to name a few! Be a part of the Education Solution - join us to make lasting change!
Call Me MiSTER - We are leading the path forward in recruiting and preparing more Black male teachers for the state of Colorado through its Call Me MISTER (Mentors Instructing Students Toward Effective Role Models) program. The mission of Call Me MISTER is to increase the pool of available teachers from a broader and more diverse background, primarily within the Denver metro area.
Trauma-Informed Practices (TIP) - Office of Education Solutions (OES) is building the capacity of current and future teachers to recognize and respond to trauma in school environments with children, build healing and equitable classrooms, and address secondary trauma in themselves and their coworkers.
Inclusive Higher Ed Solutions - Inclusive Higher Education Solutions (IHES) provides a comprehensive strategic vision for support services for diverse learners so they can learn, persevere, and succeed as members of the MSU Denver community with a focus on the learner’s transition to employment and adult life.
Colorado STEM Ecosystem - The Colorado STEM Ecosystem is a statewide grassroots coalition to uplift existing successful efforts, and jumpstart cross-sector collaboration to bridge educational and economic needs across Colorado. Our definition of STEM is broad, interdisciplinary, and inclusive.
The Anna Jo Garcia Haynes Legacy Project - The Anna Jo Garcia Haynes Legacy Project was established to sustain and build upon the legacy and impact of Anna Jo’s leadership and advocacy in early childhood education (ECE). The Anna Jo Garcia Haynes Endowment will create system-wide change in the state’s early childhood education ecosystem.
