Mariachi Band 2023

Mariachi Los Correcaminos creates enriching and entertaining cultural experiences for its community at MSU Denver, across the Denver metro area, and beyond as it works to keep Mexican culture alive by teaching and performing traditional mariachi music. Funds raised from the 2023 Day of Giving will support the creation of new, custom-made trajes—the ensemble’s traditional mariachi uniforms. This will give Mariachi Los Correcaminos a distinctive look and ensure that every ensemble member can perform in trajes that are comfortable and accommodating to all bodies.

Buying trajes for the entire ensemble can cost upwards of $15,000. With $2,500, the ensemble can design and create at least one custom traje that can be used to pattern each custom trajes for current and future ensemble members. $2,500 would support the necessary startup costs for this project, which will make its future implementation much more accessible. Additional funds raised above our goal amount will cover future expenses incurred by the program.
