Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at 7 p.m. (EST) via Zoom
Hear from Mercyhurst Sustainability Coordinator Molly Tarvin about campus’s renewed efforts to enhance holistic sustainability on campus and in the classroom. With a long history of environmental sustainability and an increasing global urgency, Mercyhurst has widened its approach to address priorities outlined in Pope Francis’s encyclical, Laudato Si’. Learn about projects underway, including the state’s first University owned Tiny Forest, a new rooftop greenhouse, and the Tower Garden Lending Program. With an improved Sustainability Studies major and strong community connections, learn how Mercyhurst defines the issue of climate change, addresses the challenges, and prepares our community to improve the ever-changing world.
