At Mercer University, President Bill Underwood challenges us to ‘Be the Bear,’ but at McAfee we like to add ‘These Bears Preach.’ As ministers, pastors, chaplains, and counselors, students, alumni, and friends of McAfee proclaim the good news all around the world. In fact, McAfee graduates have served on every continent. When you support McAfee, you are helping the School of Theology live more fully into its mission to prepare ministers who will inspire the Church and the world to imagine, discover, and create God’s future.
“These Bears Preach: A Week of Giving” is Mercer’s online fundraising event that is aimed at increasing awareness, support, and donor participation for Mercer’s McAfee School of Theology. The event begins at 8am on Monday, May 6th, and will end at 8pm on Sunday, May 12th. For the week, we will be celebrating the impact of the School of Theology, all while making a difference in the lives of our current students. Participation is the key! Join with us and make a gift to support programs and scholarships in Theology by giving to our Annual Fund or to one of our endowed funds. If you have already made a gift to theology this year, please consider increasing your support for our students and spreading the word about why you give to Theology. Our goal for Theology this year is 150 donors. Let’s make a huge impact in the lives of our students this year by supporting Theology!
