Today we are Jumping for Joyce! By supporting the Joyce J. Scott Scholarship Fund you are playing a critical role in a MICA student's journey to genius.
Joyce J. Scott '70 (BFA Art Education) is a Baltimore-based jewelry maker and sculptor repositioning craft, and in particular beadwork, as a potent platform for commentary on social and political injustices. Equal to Joyce’s artistic talent and genius is her generous spirit. This year, Joyce established the Joyce J. Scott Scholarship, an endowed fund that will support undergraduate students at MICA with financial need, with a preference for students of color from Baltimore.
As part of this effort, we are trying to reach 50 donors for the scholarship in 24 hours.
Joyce herself benefited from the support of scholarships when she was a student at MICA, and is now looking forward to giving that opportunity to a future generation of artists. Please share this campaign on social media and encourage your peers in #JumpingforJoyce.
