Many thanks for considering a gift to MICA's Angel Fund. Every dollar given to this special fund is used for the sole purpose of providing immediate emergency relief to MICA students.
Grants from the Angel Fund can be used to cover unexpected costs (e.g. moving, storage, meals, housing relief) during this moment of national emergency. In March 2020 alone, over 110 students asked for help from the Angel Fund; food insecurity and housing were the most common areas of need.
Hi everyone,
How about some good news to start your weekend?
Last night we hit the $25,000 mark in funds raised to help MICA students, including a $3,000 challenge gift from one of our generous parent donors! Later this morning I'll also be emailing updated numbers for the Angel Fund (see the image below), which provides emergency relief for students in this time of crisis.
You'll see that we've had a surge in requests since last week, and you'll also that we've been able to provide awards to 98% of all Angel Fund applicants (and 100% of all Scott Kelly '87 Fund applicants). These two funds are MICA's greatest tools to help students who need additional assistance right now, and your donations are being distributed almost as quickly as they are received.

From there, you can share this campaign directly to your Facebook/Twitter, or you can copy a link which tracks how many clicks and donations you generate! Just make sure you share the campaign using those buttons on the Advocate Dashboard, otherwise your clicks and donations get credited to a generic Community Advocates group (and you deserve recognition for your advocacy!)
Thank you for being part of such an incredible and caring community!
