In honor of International Women's Day (March 8), join our week-long fundraising challenge in support of our Future Female Leaders by making a gift in support of girls' education. Your gift will support future generations of female innovators, entrepreneurs, visionaries, and creatives who will no doubt change our world for the better.
Our goal is 530 gifts, one gift for every future female leader on campus at Marlborough.

Dear Alumnae,
Today is International Women’s Day! While it may seem like there is now a “day” for nearly everything, this is one that truly holds significance, especially for members of the Marlborough community.
The first IWD occurred well over a century ago, and today it is a global celebration of the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women, as well as a call to action for accelerating gender parity. This year’s theme is #PressforProgress, and as a Marlborough alumna, mom, and your Alumnae Association President, I have such confidence in the young women I see on campus today, students who will become the leaders, unifiers, problem solvers, and change makers that our country needs.
I am not only confident because of them, I am confident because of you. Your work, your compassion, and your support of this school and these young women inspires them to do more, go further, and band together in their quest to make a difference in the world.
This week you have been hearing directly from some of those future female leaders, including Eloise ’21 and Brianna ’19, whose passions are being fueled by the Marlborough community that surrounds them. From service learning and social justice, to robotics and coding, to arts and athletics, like Eloise and Brianna, each of our students come to school ready to be fearless, to have fun, and to find what drives them.
We also heard from a fellow alumna, Ashley ’09, who attributes her success in both athletics and now in sports marketing for Nike, to her experience at Marlborough where she developed strength, tenacity, and resilience. Through the generosity of financial aid, which is celebrating its 40th Anniversary, Ashley was able to attend Marlborough and is one of the joint Alumnae Council and Young Alumnae Council members who will give a gift $10,000 to the Angel Fund if we hit our goal of 530 gifts!
I hope you will join me in celebrating them, your fellow Violets, and all women by making a gift to the Future Female Leaders campaign today. Your contribution not only supports future generations of female innovators, entrepreneurs, and visionaries, but also supports the vital progress that will no doubt change our world for the better.
