Teacher Appreciation Day 2021

15% of 40 Donor goal
This campaign ended on June 30, 2021, but you can still make a gift to Marietta College by clicking here!

The National Education Association describes National Teacher Day “as a day for honoring teachers and recognizing the lasting contributions they make to our lives.” We know that Marietta College faculty have impacted thousands of Pioneers, helping students discover their strengths and their passions and setting them forth to blaze new trails all over the world. You can say thank you to a professor who impacted your life by making a gift in their honor; when you do, we'll notify them (or their loved ones) of your tribute.

Help us show the appreciation of The Long Blue Line by supporting the professors who supported you; if forty (or more) donors make a gift, we will celebrate with a coffee party for Marietta College faculty when they return to campus in the fall!

Share the name(s) of your favorite Marietta College faculty by using #MCTeacherAppreciation on social media, or share a favorite story on the Marietta College Alumni Facebook Group.

Coco Shao '19 celebrates the many educators who've helped her

You may recognize Coco as one of our first Student Ambassadors, sharing her Senior year with monthly vlogs. While she was a triple major at Marietta, Coco would especially like to recognize Marshall Kimball and the professors who helped her bring music back into her life.

Don't forget to share your own stories using #MCTeacherAppreciation or by sending a message to alumni@marietta.edu!

Paul Adams '69 celebrates Professor Gerald Evans

Paul is just one of hundreds of Pioneers who discovered a love of language and literature in class with Jerry Evans, former Harness Fellow Professor of English. Several members of The Long Blue Line recently chose to honor Professor Evans by establishing a scholarship in his name that was awarded for the first time this year.

Which Marietta Professors have inspired you? How would you like to say thanks? Don't forget to share their names using #MCTeacherAppreciation during Teacher Appreciation Week!
