Marietta Field, home of Pioneer Soccer and Women’s Lacrosse, underwent major renovations in 2018. We put down blue FieldTurf, widened the field to 72 yards and added state-of-the-art Musco lights. Pre-Pandemic both the men’s and women’s soccer programs were in the top ten for attendance in all of DIII soccer. Since 2013 both programs have seen more than a 250% increase in home attendance. We’ve invested in the fields, and now it’s time to invest in the fans.
Our capacity in the current bleachers is 274. The bleachers start at the ground level which gives the first few rows poor sight lines. We want to ensure that all Pioneer fans have a seat at the game, so we have a new design that will increase capacity by 74% to 477, raise the first row to nearly 3 feet off the ground and make the bleachers ADA compliant. Bleachers aren't cheap and to accomplish this goal we will need to raise $113,525. We’re more than halfway there, and fan support will help take our facilities – and our programs – to the next level.
