It is my goal to make Macalester the best place in the country to play college football. I believe operating on the periphery is the only way to attract like-minded individuals to our program and challenge them in ways that trounce the traditional, cookie-cutter, student-athlete experience. Your gifts will help us in the recruitment, development, and retention of "Outsiders" - young men with the curiosity to think outside the box and the courage to challenge the status quo.
This offseason we are reading "Atomic Habits" (James Clear) as a team in an effort to build community around self-exploration. Our team trip to Scotland in May of 2025 is designed to be an extension of that work. Rest assured, we are not planning a luxurious vacation... that's not really our style. We are planning a trip that aligns with our program values of connecting with each other and doing hard things together. Think challenging hikes, outdoor adventures, community service projects, etc. We'll certainly have plenty of fun, but only after the work is done.
