Happy Sunday! Today, we're highlighting BSU. Black Student Union holds steady to the principles of building diversity, assisting the student body, and always providing integrating activities. Established in 1969, the Black Student Union is dedicated to the founding principles of education, social betterment, and service. Show them some  here. 

Today's Lagniappe Days feature is the Latinx Law Students Association (LLSA). ⚖️ This student organization is dedicated to promoting a successful representation of Latinxs in the legal community. Funds raised during Lagniappe Days will go towards starting an LLSA scholarship for an outstanding student in the Latinx community. Show your support here.

TGIF, Wolf Pack! The Student Peace Initiative is fundraising for its Fourteenth Annual Student Peace Conference, "Navigating a Fragmented World: Concurring and Dissenting Opinions" during Lagniappe Days. Support this student organization's mission to cultivate an intellectual and educational environment oriented towards peace, inclusion, and social justice here. ☮️

This Thanksgiving Day we have much more to be thankful for than just turkey and pumpkin pie! 🦃 🥧 Loyola University is all that it is because of the programs and organizations that give back to the community, such as those featured throughout Lagniappe Days. Thank you to all of our students, faculty, staff, alumni, volunteers, and donors for making a lasting impact on our university! 💛

Loyola Center for Counseling and Education (LCCE) commits to sustainably providing effective clinical mental health counseling on a sliding scale to underserved families, couples, groups, and individuals at every stage of life. Your donation to LCCE would allow the Center to enhance the therapeutic environment within the facility, provide comprehensive training for staff, and more effectively extend services to those who need them most. The next campus organization we're highlighting knows how to boogie for a great cause! Dance Marathon is a student-led nationwide organization dedicated to raising money for local Children's Miracle Network Hospital, Children's Hospital New Orleans.

We're kicking off Thanksgiving week with another Lagniappe Days highlight! Did you know that Loyola Pre-Law was the first undergraduate legal organization on campus? Make a donation here to support this organization's efforts to provide LSAT funding, tutoring programs, mentorship opportunities, and ensuring successful transitions into law school. ⚖️

This Sunday, we're highlighting a student organization that was just chartered in 2020! The NAACP's mission is to ensure the political, educational, social, and economic equality of all citizens; achieve equality of rights and eliminate race prejudice among the citizens of the United States; and remove all barriers of racial discrimination through democratic processes. Now, that's a mission we can get behind one hundred percent!

Fun fact Friday! 💥  Did you know that a Spanish noblewoman named Inéz Pascual cared for St. Ignatius in his time of need? 🤔 When he was limping and injured from battle, she saw that he received food, shelter, and medical care. As Ignatius prepared for his studies in Paris, Inéz accompanied him on many of his travels to raise funds for those who needed them.

Theta Phi Alpha-Alpha Beta is committed to advancing its philanthropic efforts, sisterhood, and leadership skills. During Lagniappe Days, this student organization is asking for the community's support to raise funds for its philanthropy, Camp Friendship, as well as its upcoming Officer Leadership Training. We're kicking off day one of Lagniappe Days by highlighting Loyola University Community Action Program (L.U.C.A.P.), a student-initiated, student-led volunteer service and advocacy organization that is raising funds towards providing transportation to service sites, hosting impactful and empowering speakers, and supporting the general upkeep of L.U.C.A.P.

The Alumni Association is hosting Lagniappe Days from November 16 through November 30, 2021. This crowdfunding campaign gives student organizations a unique opportunity to promote their efforts and raise funds through an easy to use platform called GiveCampus. Student leaders, mark your calendars for a virtual training on November 4, 2021 from 11:30 a.m. - 12 p.m.   The training will include instructions on how to navigate GiveCampus, as well as a demo of a successful crowdfunding page.
