During Lagniappe Days, you can support vital student and faculty causes that have a direct impact on our community. Loyola has provided quality Jesuit education for over a century; its impact goes far beyond the classroom. Our faculty and students provide and participate in a range of programs and causes that improve the quality of life in New Orleans and the Gulf Coast region. Today's Lagniappe Days feature is the Latinx Law Students Association (LLSA). โ๏ธ This student organization is dedicated to promoting a successful representation of Latinxs in the legal community. The NAACP's mission is to ensure the political, educational, social, and economic equality of all citizens; achieve equality of rights and eliminate race prejudice among the citizens of the United States; and remove all barriers of racial discrimination through democratic processes. Now, that's a mission we can get behind one hundred percent!

Fun fact Friday! ๐ฅ Did you know that a Spanish noblewoman named Inรฉz Pascual cared for St. Ignatius in his time of need? ๐ค When he was limping and injured from battle, she saw that he received food, shelter, and medical care. As Ignatius prepared for his studies in Paris, Inรฉz accompanied him on many of his travels to raise funds for those who needed them.

This crowdfunding campaign gives student organizations a unique opportunity to promote their efforts and raise funds through an easy to use platform called GiveCampus. Student leaders, mark your calendars for a virtual training on November 4, 2021 from 11:30 a.m. - 12 p.m. The training will include instructions on how to navigate GiveCampus, as well as a demo of a successful crowdfunding page.
