It is custom that the senior class present a gift to Lipscomb University before graduation. The goal of the senior gift is to enhance the student experience for underclassmen and for students to come.
The class of 2022 is offering an arch as their senior gift. The arch will say "LIPSCOMB" and is in the process of being built by the Raymond B. Jones College of Engineering. The arch will be positioned over the sidewalk on the corner of Shackleford Rd. and Granny White Pike (between the tennis courts and the soccer field). There will be two plaques, one per column, that read as follows:
- Colossians 3:17 "And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him."
- This arch is a gift from the senior class of 2022, a class that exemplified perseverance in the midst of adversity.
This is the first physical gift that has been given by a graduating class since 2012. We are excited about this project and we are even more excited that it will be complete before graduation.
You have the opportunity to donate to fund this class gift that will be appreciated by many generations to come. Our goal is to raise $1,000 to fund this project.
There will be a ribbon-cutting ceremony, hosted by the Alumni Office, on April 28th, at 11:15 a.m. Directly after the ceremony, there will be food trucks located at the soccer field parking lot for the Senior Send-Off where you will be able to enjoy free food and pick up your free alumni t-shirt.
On graduation day there will be a professional photographer positioned at the arch to take pictures of the graduates and their families.
We hope that you will join the senior class in supporting this project.
Thank you and go Bisons!
