Challenges are a great way to show your support. Be the first!
The last several years have been challenging for all of us. The effects of the pandemic have loomed large, but other things like social unrest and wildfires have added to the stressors. As a result, students need our help now more than ever before. There’s no magic formula, but we know about what keeps people well, and our Student Health, Wellness and Counseling Center and Student Affairs staff are eager to help. While there are some resources available, and efforts have been underway all year, there is more we can do.
Your gift can help make possible things like:
- Activities that help students connect to each other, increase their sense of belonging, and feel like they can have fun!
- Equipment that allows more students to be out in nature (inflatable kayaks) and take rides through town (bikes for the Bike Co-Op)
- Training for faculty and staff that helps them use their connections with students in an intentional manner to support their mental well-being, as well as being equipped to act appropriately when a student is in crisis
- Tools and other items that can be used in the Student Garden, where students can plant and maintain their own section
We’ve received a generous challenge from the Parents Council Leadership Team, who have committed $18,000 to these efforts if we can raise at least that much from Linfield alumni, parents and friends during One Wild Day 2022. Will you join us?
