About
As part of the #LincolnTogether initiative this Michaelmas term, we’re working to raise a further £30,000 and reach our £230,000 goal for the next phase of the Lincoln Covid-19 Appeal, and ensure that we can respond quickly to urgent financial pressures from the crisis and sustain our vision and strategy for the College.
Our Fellows and staff are working tirelessly to ensure that this academic year feels as normal as possible for our new and returning students, that no young person’s academic journey is compromised, that student welfare is supported, that College life is maintained, and that a spirit of caring and camaraderie prevails. With our young Lincoln bookworms now back at College, in this city of books, we need your help to ensure that they can flourish and thrive.
Help us to sustain teaching and College life
A gift to the Lincoln Covid-19 Appeal is an unrestricted gift, providing College with immediate funds and flexibility to respond to urgent financial pressures resulting from the pandemic. Your unrestricted gift helps our students in a multitude of ways, such as:
- Funding additional Graduate Teaching Assistants, who will provide academic support to students who have been impacted by the disruptions of Covid-19.
- Funding counselling services and welfare provision, providing essential support to those students whose mental health is being impacted by the crisis.
- £300 covers the cost of a Self-Isolation Grant, and ensures that any international student needing to quarantine ahead of term has their accommodation and meals paid for by College.
- £400 covers the cost of a Pack and Send Grant, for those students who were unable to collect their belongings from College when lockdown was announced.
- £50,000 covers the cost of installing and maintaining personal protective equipment (PPE), keeping our treasured rooms and spaces Covid-19 secure, and able to operate.
- £18,000 covers the cost of installing a marquee in Chapel Quad, providing a vital community and teaching space, as well as a socially-distanced ‘pop up’ bar on Friday evenings.
From providing emergency hardship grants, funding student facemasks, to covering the cost and logistics of meals if students need to self-isolate during term, your unrestricted gift will be put straight to use, towards urgent pressures facing Lincoln this term.
Thank you for your generous support of the Lincoln Covid-19 Appeal.
