Programming creates a sense of identity. Individual support helps students belong.
The Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (ODEI) provides funding and programming at the campus and individual levels, helping foster respect, agency, and belonging among all Kenyon community members. Support from ODEI ranges from providing logistical support for student-led events, to helping organize the 50th reunions of the Black Student Union and the inclusion of Women on Campus. Although programing is essential in developing a unified identity, individual student support is our largest priority.
Addressing student needs.
Currently 44% of students receive need-based financial aid, 19% identify as a domestic student of color, 10% are international, and 5% identify as non-Christian, religious observers. Providing effective, necessary support for minority populations on campus requires individual, conscientious action -- specifically listening to the individual's needs as they arise. The Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion utilizes the Student Support Fund to do exactly that.
Directly impact a student’s experience; Donate to the Student Success Fund.
The Student Success Fund is a budgeted allocation of $10,000 per year, providing materials and services upon request. Requests include helping cover the cost of textbooks, providing professional attire for interviews, and other student expenses.
We've heard from students that $10,000 isn't enough.
Increasing the amount of available funds is a communal effort, where we all contribute uniquely to our capabilities. While the office of Annual Giving organizes the fundraising effort, the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion partnered with administrative and alumni partners are identifying ways to create easier access to the Student Success Fund and faster processing rates for requests.
Consider Donating Today - Your gift will be matched!
Help us help our students by donating to the Student Success Fund. Your donations will be "additive," contributing directly to the pool of money available for students requesting materials and services. And, if you make your gift during Give 43022, a generous donor will match your gift by as much as $2 to $1.

This is Kenyon. Seamlessly Integrated. Consciously Celebrated
You did it! Another successful giving challenge in the history books. Thanks to your advocacy, enthusiasm and – of course – philanthropic support, over 1400 people got in the 43022 state of mind over the past two days, raising over $920,000 for Kenyon. It’s clear our community responded to this fun date for Gambier.
While the final totals won’t be available for a few days, take a look at our social media feeds on Instagram and Twitter, to see how other Kenyon folks celebrated this quirky day.
Thank you for helping us make this happen!

We've hit our 1000 donors (and counting)!! THANK YOU!! But with 6 more hours left in the challenge we're not through yet. We can't wait to see you all at your regional events this evening - and we hope you will continue to share Give43022 so that EVERYONE can join the party! We still have LOTS of match dollars left to claim!

Happy 43022 Day! As an Advocate, you likely didn’t receive our 9 a.m. email encouraging anyone who hasn’t yet made a Give 43022 gift to consider making one using the digits in 43022. Since it went out, we’ve received 80 43022-inspired gifts (and counting) and we’ve collected 35 gifts of exactly $430.22 since the Give 43022 campaign started! We’re tickled to see our Kenyon community having so much fun with this challenge!
With fewer than 12 hours to go, any final pushes you can send out to your Kenyon network will help us finish strong. Please accept this video of our Annual Giving team celebrating the growing totals as a token of our appreciation for your hard work.
