Class of 2019 Class Gift Fundraiser

This campaign ended on May 17, 2019, but you can still make a gift to Keck Graduate Institute of Applied Life Sciences by clicking here!

Until now, KGI has not had a fund dedicated to help students overcome roadblocks on their way to graduation. The Student Success Fund will ensure that we can move these roadblocks together and help get all KGI students across the commencement stage and on their way to rewarding careers in the life sciences.

With your help, we can reach our goal to raise $20,000 in 38 days. Will you contribute to the Student Success Fund and make it possible for every KGI student to reach their goals?

During these 38 days, we are featuring three current KGI students and their stories. You can listen to their stories through the KGI Podcast on iTunes as well: kgi.edu/itunes.

Tochukwu's hard work and dedication have earned him a spot in a prestigious summer program at Harvard studying global infectious diseases. It's a dream come true for Tochukwu, who wants to learn to train those in his home country, Nigeria, to combat deadly disease. But, the cost of the program is staggering to this young man from Africa. Listen to Tochukwu's story: iTunesYouTube

Viridiana was the first in her family to go to college. Now an MSGDA student at KGI, the financial burden is very real, but Viri works on campus in addition to her rigorous coursework. Recently, she was accepted as a fellow in a summer program at the NIH. But in her excitement, she knows that paying for this opportunity is all but impossible. Jonathan arrived at KGI's MBS program carrying not only his own hopes and dreams, but those of his whole family. As an international student, he's not allowed to work off campus. This means that not only are everyday living expenses a struggle—but incredible professional development opportunities he reads about are completely out of reach.
