Since 1974, Kalamazoo College students have celebrated the Day of Gracious Living, a surprise reprieve from classes for one day in the month of May to “live graciously.” In recent years, this tradition has developed additional meaning for K alumni as a day to “give graciously.”
These challenging times make a strong case that a K education is more important than ever. The College develops students who can effectively think critically in, adapt to, and communicate about an ever-changing world. As a result, K graduates are well-positioned to help provide leadership in response to complex local, national and global issues.
As part of the College’s plan to support the safety of our campus community, students are currently adapting to the transition to distance learning. During the spring term, K is supporting students and faculty by providing enhanced virtual teaching and course management capabilities, as well as increased online access to library resources.
Your contribution will provide these resources and more to ensure students continue to receive exceptional learning opportunities through the K-Plan. Gifts also increase access to a K education by providing essential scholarships that support 98 percent of our students.
