How can I sign up as a matching or challenge donor?

Use this giving page or scroll down to view all available campaigns. Once you find the campaign you’d like to support, click “Offer a matching gift” or “Offer a challenge gift.” From there, the platform will guide you through the steps to become a giving day challenge donor!

When I will receive my socks?

Your socks should arrive in the mail within six to eight weeks after you have made your gift. Your socks will be sent to the mailing address you provide when you make your gift.

What size are the socks?

Socks are one size fits most.

Can I get more than one pair?

Yes, but only if you make separate transactions each time of at least $25 per transaction. Only one sock pair can be mailed per transaction.

Can I give to more than one area of Johns Hopkins?

Yes, but only if you make separate transactions to each designation. You cannot split one transaction between multiple designations.   

Can you ship internationally?

Unfortunately, we are not able to ship internationally.

Is my gift tax-deductible?

Yes. You will receive a tax receipt via email after you make a gift. However, please note that there is an exchange of goods and services if you choose to receive a pair of socks with your donation. The fair market value ($5) of the item we are providing will reduce the tax credit of your gift, in accordance with federal tax regulations.

How does the CARES Act impact my donation? 

The CARES Act provides individuals who take the standard deduction with a new, above-the-line charitable deduction for cash contributions of up to $300 in tax year 2020.
