Hopkins Women's Fencing

This year marks the 50th Anniversary of Title IX and Women's Athletics at Johns Hopkins.  To honor these historic anniversaries, Blue Jays Unlimited is excited to announce the biggest giving challenge in Johns Hopkins history.  Help us celebrate the past, present and future of Women's Athletics by supporting your team today!

How it Works

If 60% of Women's Fencing alumnae make a gift of $10 or more the Women's Fencing team will receive $20,000.  This size gift would have a major impact on the program!

If 50% of Women's Fencing alumnae make a gift of $10 or more the Women's Fencing team will receive $15,000.  

If 40% of Women's Fencing alumnae make a gift of $10 or more the Women's Fencing team will receive $10,000.

Women's Legacy Fund

Alumnae have the option to make a gift to our newly created Women's Legacy Fund.  This new fund was established by our Athletics Director, Jen Baker, to elevate and advance our women’s athletics programs.

Incentive

Anyone who gives $50 or more will receive commemorative fleece ear warmers ($10 value)

Women's Fencing 2022-2023 Fundraising Initiatives 

Foil Coach - $17,500

Increase time with weapon coaches and allow them to travel to competitions

Epee Coaching - $17,500

Increase time with weapon coaches and allow them to travel to competitions

Saber Coaching - $17,500

Increase time with weapon coaches and allow them to travel to competitions

Team Travel Support - $12,500

Helps ensure a strong schedule to qualify fencers to NCAA's.  Also improves the chances of attending NAC each year.

Team Equipment - $12,500

Purchase FIE Jackets, masks, cover masks and shoes

Under Armour Gear - $7,500

Approximately $150 per fencer includes jacket, t-shirt, shorts, backpack, sweatshirts

Recruiting - $3,000

Attendance at NAC's and Summer Nationals
