On this year's Day of Giving, please consider supporting the Pre-Med Undergraduate Research Fund with your gift. The Pre-Med Undergraduate Research Fund supports the Dr. A.J. Cianflocco and Mary Anne Garvey Pre-Med Experience Scholarship, a unique program which equips aspiring physicians with the essential skills and expertise for a successful medical career. Program highlights include on-campus research and mentorship under the guidance of JCU faculty and participation in a medical immersion trip to Honduras, working alongside healthcare professionals. The Pre-Med Undergraduate Research Fund supports the cost of traveling and supplies as well as preparation materials for the MCAT, a research stipend, and summer housing during the research experience.
Pre-med students majoring in Biology or Cell and Molecular Biology who apply and are selected for this opportunity also receive the following professional benefits:
- Holistic preparation-Develop a well-rounded skill set combining research, academic excellence, and real-world experience that will help build a strong foundation for medical school admission and future success in the medical field.
- Global perspective: Gain insights into diverse healthcare practices and enhance cultural competency.
- Networking opportunities: Connect with like-minded peers, faculty, and healthcare professionals.
Thank you for supporting John Carroll University's Pre-Med Undergraduate Research Fund and future JCU healthcare professionals!
