About

Charging stations for the library

Ever since receiving a redesign in 2018, the HCC Library has taken more modern, student-centered look, with new carpeting, furniture, and spaces for students to sit, relax, and study. What is missing from those quiet spaces is the ability for students to stay plugged in.

Yes, students need a quiet place to study, but they also need easy access to power for their laptops, phones, and tablets. The HCC library provides ample quiet spaces, but charging stations are a challenge. Students rely on electronics to do their academic work and they need to plug in.

GOAL: $1,000 to purchase 4-5 mobile power units for the library. The units will feature both AC outlets and USB charging in various library student spaces.

These stations will empower students to stay connected, collaborate, and access information seamlessly. Your vision for a technologically enriched educational experience aligns perfectly with our goals, and we are thrilled to see it come to life.

Thank you!
