We know that our senior year hasn't gone as we planned, and it's a tough time for us all. But, we are still the Hillsdale College Class of 2020, and we will graduate soon, have an awesome celebration, and we have a lot for which to be proud and excited. We still plan to complete our Class Gift, and we are excited for your participation.
On behalf of the Senior Class of 2020, we are asking for your help to bring the Quad full circle (from our freshman year) with the planting of 6 large oak trees!
After experiencing the past three years of construction and receiving input from student surveys, the Class of 2020 chose to raise $4,200 to plant 6 large, live oak trees on the quad. The trees are an invaluable opportunity for students and alumni to play an important part in restoring our beloved quad following the construction of Christ Chapel.
Dedicated to alumni past, present and future, these trees will unite generations of Hillsdale alumni and students, and leave a lasting legacy for the place and community that has touched us all so deeply. Not only are the trees reminiscent of our class' freshman year, but they will stand as a beautiful landmark for the College community for generations to come.
We invite YOU to take up the challenge and support this lasting gift on Hillsdale’s campus. We hope to have participation from at least 45% of the senior class--we may be young and have little to give, but collectively, we can make a big impact on our soon-to-be alma mater.
Due to the hardship inflicted by COVID-19, we have decided that any overages in fundraising for the Senior Class Gift will be donated to the Ransom Dunn Emergency Scholarship. Receiving a quality education should not be another financial burden during these trying times and together we can make sure that our peers are still able to rejoice in the challenge offered by Hillsdale.
Join us! We are always stronger together!
