Virtus Tentamine Gaudet: Strength Rejoices in the Challenge 

As a Charger Athlete, you are familiar with this motto. It is still the cornerstone of Charger Athletics today. Our student-athletes rejoice in the challenge of pursuing excellence both on and off the field.

You also know that we operate without government subsidies, unlike almost every other college or university. This independence comes at a cost and often means that our teams must work even harder to succeed.

We invite you to join us in the Charge Ahead Challenge! This campaign challenges alumni to help maintain our athletic programs and assist their teams with some of the important projects they may be looking to fund beyond annual operations.

Each athletic team will compete with each other to achieve their weighted campaign goal during the Charge Ahead Challenge. Overall, we hope to raise $100,000 from 200 supporters for our athletic programs.

Will you help Charger Athletics with this important challenge today? Your support will strengthen the Charger legacy. You will also help maintain the independence that preserves and protects the College and its mission now and in the future.

• Football: Team operating expenses such as travel, training equipment, uniforms, etc. 
• Men's Basketball: Team operating expenses such as travel, training equipment, uniforms, team trip, etc. 
• Women's Basketball: Team operating expenses such as travel, training equipment, uniforms, team trip, etc. 
• Men's Tennis: Team operating expenses such as travel, training equipment, uniforms, team trip, etc.  
• Men's Track & Field and Cross-Country: New track and field facility, Scholarships 
• Women's Track & Field and Cross-Country: New track and field facility, Scholarships 
• Women's Swimming: Team operating expenses such as travel, training equipment, uniforms, team trip, etc.
• Women's Tennis: Team operating expenses such as travel, training equipment, uniforms, team trip, etc.
