At Harford Community College, our students love making a difference. This January, ten students have stepped up to spend their winter break volunteering with marine conservation and hurricane recovery efforts in Key West, FL.
But they need your help to get there! Your gift of any size will help our students raise the travel expenses they need so they can make a difference.
The Impact of Your Gift
$25 - Provides supplies for one volunteer during the trip
$90 - Provides housing and meals for one volunteer for one day of service
$300 - Provides airfare for one volunteer
HCC students will be partnering with the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary to remove marine debris from local waterways. The experience provides an excellent opportunity for students interested in environmentally focused careers to participate in experiential learning and make connections with conservation organizations.
The mission of the Alternative Break program is to provide direct service opportunities for students to experience diverse perspectives, learn about social issues, and grow as life-long active citizens. Students perform short-term projects for community agencies and learn about various social issues.
Your donation will directly impact a student volunteer's ability to participate in this life-changing service experience.
