Goucher Decades Challenge 2022

TODAY Thursday April 21, 2022 we kick off our 5th Goucher Challenge! On this special day we ask our entire community to come together and show you are #GoucherProud by making a gift.

This year the decades have been challenged by members of the class of 1972, in honor of their 50^th reunion, to reach 100 donors. When a decade reaches their goal, a lead gift will be unlocked. In addition to the day long decade challenges, there are challenges specific to parents and families, faculty & staff, young alumnae/I, AAGC and many more! DECADES CHALLENGE

The 5th Goucher Challenge is all about the decades! We are asking our entire community to support the decade they are affiliated with to help them reach their goal! When a decade reaches its donor goal, $5,000 will be released to the college. See the donor goals per decade below:

• 1950’s and 40’s: reach 50 donors and $5,000 will be released
• 60’s: reach 100 donors and $5,000 will be released. AND if this decade reaches $40,000 an additional $4,000 will be donated to the college from alumna Jerriann Myers Wilson ’62
• 70’s: reach 100 donors and $5,000 will be released
• 80’s: reach 100 donors and $5,000 will be released
• 90’s: reach 100 donors and $5,000 will be released
• 00’s: reach 100 donors and $5,000 will be released
• 10’s: reach 100 donors and $5,000 will be released
• 20’s (and current students): reach 100 donors and $5,000 will be released

SUGGESTED DECADE BY YOUR AFFILIATION

We hope you will participate in this special day in some way. If you choose to give, here are our suggested decades based on your affiliation:

• Alumnae/i can give to your decade
• Parents can give to your student’s decade
• Faculty and staff can contribute to the 2020 decade in support of our current students OR pick the decade you began working for the college
• Students can contribute to the 2020 decade in honor of their graduation to-come
• Friends of the college can pick the decade they want to support

If you identify with more than one affiliation above, you can decide where your participation will have the best impact.

Are you on campus or live locally to campus?! Join us for a full day of festivities! 

• All day: Visit Challenge Head Quarters "HQ" to make your gift and show you are Goucher Proud! | Alumnae/i House lawn (rain location Mary Fisher lobby) Make a gift and get Goucher swag and snacks! 
• 11-2:30: Food Truck Rally: Come grab a bite at one of the 5 food trucks vising campus. All trucks are donating a portion of their proceeds to Goucher as a part of the challenge. | Alumnae/i House Parking lot Trucks include: Taco Bar Food Truck, Quinn's Ice, Tasty MD, Crossroads Bistro and Kona Ice! 
• 1-3: Tie-dye T-shirts: Hosted by OSE (first 100 students). | Challenge HQ (rain location Mary Fisher lobby) 
• 4:00: Faculty & Staff Happy Hour: Hosted by AEA and faculty Governance-join your colleagues for an afternoon beverage! | Alumnae/i House courtyard (rain location Buchner Hall)
• All Day: Learn about GIG: Visit Challenge HQ to learn more about Get into Goucher from SET | Challenge HQ (rain location Mary Fisher Lobby)
