“The greatness of a community is most accurately measured by the compassionate acts of its members”
Philanthropy in Action is November 9 - 11! Together, we can celebrate as a university community, connect with the people, places, and programs we care about and give back to the organizations and departments through our time, talent and treasure.
In this three-day celebration, faculty, staff, and students will have a variety of opportunities to learn about and support some of the great work happening in and around our university.
- Philanthropy Phair: All Georgia Southern students, faculty, and staff swing by the Armstrong or Statesboro campus to play carnival games and learn about the featured organizations!
- Get the TEA on Philanthropy: Journey of a Philanthropist: Hear from GS alumni on how philanthropy has affected their career and life journeys. The journey of a philanthropist webinar will expose you to the different ways to celebrate philanthropy, connect with your community, and give back in your own way as a philanthropist.
- Gift competition: Throughout the three-day event, the featured organizations will be competing to see who can earn the most donors and most dollars. Our top two finishers will receive $750 to go towards the scholastic needs of their organization!
