Visitation COVID Student Aid Fund

This campaign ended on April 26, 2020, but you can still make a gift to Georgetown Visitation Preparatory School by clicking here!

You - the members of our Visitation community - are incredible.

At a time when everyone is grappling with our own challenges, anxieties, and grief, you have selflessly given so that our students and their families do not have to worry about whether they can continue at Visitation.

Together, we have raised over $227,000 for our COVID Student Aid Fund, which will go directly to families in need impacted by this crisis. From the bottom of my heart and behalf of each student and family whom you have touched, thank you.

Please know that you have truly made a difference to these young women - you have made it possible for them to stay at 35th Street, their beloved home, with their cherished friends, embracing the Salesian charism of the Sisters as they grow as women of faith, vision, and purpose. It is a gift that will last a lifetime.

We hope we are able to welcome you back to campus soon, to come together in joy to celebrate our community. Until that day, know that we will lift you in prayer each day with gratitude.

In Christ,

THE COVID STUDENT AID FUND will help ensure that no young woman needs to discontinue her Visitation education as a result of this pandemic. Specifically, this fund will help address the immediate need for financial aid as a result of the current crisis and ensure our current and rising freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors can remain with their classes and celebrate treasured milestones together: laughing at Marshmallow Roast, cheering at Gold-White, enjoying a sunset during Junior Retreat, and many more.

Help us keep our Visitation family together.

COVID-19 has and will create unprecedented challenges for us logistically, financially, and emotionally -- depressing our endowment, straining family finances, and postponing or cancelling many cherished traditions.

While Visitation is well-positioned to weather this financial storm, we are feeling its effects, as are our current families. Now, more than ever, we need to lean on our faith and each other. As St. Jane urges, we place all our confidence in God’s strength, even as we turn to one another for help.

From April 22 through June 30, any gift to Visitation will support the COVID Student Aid Fund. We have suspended all other fundraising efforts to focus on supporting our families and students right now.

We thank you so much for your generous support!
