Friends of Lombardi - Sweat for a Cure 2

This campaign ended on August 27, 2019, but you can still make a gift to Georgetown University by clicking here!

Are you ready to Sweat for a Cure?

Join Friends of Lombardi at Pulse House of Fitness to work out for a great cause! All proceeds benefit the Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center.

Pulse House of Fitness has generously donated their studio and staff for a class exclusively for Friends of Lombardi friends and family. Pulse offers DC's only VersaClimber Studio. With an upper-body climber and lower-body stepper, the VersaClimber mimics the body's natural climbing movements to deliver a killer cardio and strength training workout (an average of 500 calories in just 30 minutes!). Each machine has hydraulic resistance that can be adjusted to your desired intensity. People of all fitness levels can benefit from this low-impact workout.

Prior to event:

  1. Make your participant donation above.
  2. Set up a free account and register with Pulse.

**Your spot is only confirmed once you have registered an account with Pulse and your donation has processed.**

Below are the pertinent details:

  • Participation Donation: $40 ($20 for those who register on August 27)
  • Date: Tuesday, August 27
  • Time: 7:30pm (Participants should plan to arrive no later than 7:15pm for class introduction and machine overview)
  • Location: Pulse House of Fitness (1401 New York Avenue NW, Washington, DC 20005)

Friends of Lombardi (FoL) is a group of young professionals in the DC Metro Area interested in supporting the mission of Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center to prevent, treat, and cure cancers by linking scientific discovery, expert and compassionate patient care, quality education, and partnership with the community; guided by the principle of cura personalis, “care for the whole person.”

In addition to helping our community develop strong, long-lasting professional relationships, this group also aims to meet the strategic development objectives of Georgetown Lombardi through a series of events, promotions, and activities aimed at raising funds and generating awareness for Georgetown Lombardi in the local DC Metro Area community. Learn more about how to join FoL as a new friend of the Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center here.
