The Paro Family Plaza

Georgetown Prep uses the expression “Men For Others.” It’s aspirational really, and represents something foundational about the place – so long as there are indeed Men For Others.So, what is a man for others? He is imbued with humility and kindness, a person who seeks to uplift all around him, placing himself second and others first. A man of faith, courage, and conviction. A man who asks for nothing yet gives himself boundlessly to all.

We all know of such a man – Dan Paro, Class of 1979. We have an opportunity to honor our friend and colleague and his 25 years as a coach, Athletic Director, and leader at Georgetown Prep. We want to name the new Gameday Plaza as The Paro Family Plaza (part of the “For the Greater Glory” capital campaign).

Please keep this endeavor in confidence as we are hoping to surprise Dan. Dan’s wife, Lisa, is aware of our efforts and is most humbled and appreciative of this tribute to Dan and her family.
