About

Alumni,

IGNORE the โ€œ100% of Goalโ€ in the corner.  Yes, we have hit 30%!  And, yes, this is a huge accomplishment.

We are not stopping at 30% though. We can still do better this year!  Landon has hit 31% and St. Alban's is at 43%.  Also, our Jesuit brothers down on Eye Street heard they had fallen below Prep, and are, likewise, beating the drum for participation. Their goal is 40% and, gentlemen, we actually have 40% in our sights! Let's take down Landon, aim for St. Alban's and make sure Gonzaga doesn't sneak up on us.

I'm sure you've heard this before, but tuition alone does not cover the full cost of a Prep student's experience.  The Annual Fund directly supports financial aid, technology improvements, faculty development and so much more.  Each and every one of us have benefited from alumni before us giving back to the Annual Fund during our time at Prep.

We have until June 30 to make a difference.  We all hold Prep in a special place in our hearts. Thank you for showing your Prep Pride and joining the 1,400+ other alumni that have given back this year.

Hoya Saxa,

Dave Belford '95

President, GPAA

P.S. If you need a little motivation, here is a chant to get you going!  As a former Booster, it brings back memories.

About the Annual Fund

Alumni have been giving back to Prep since its founding in 1789. This financial support has allowed Georgetown Prep to carry out John Carroll's vision for generations of young men to be shaped into men for others.  We hope you will help us carry on that responsibility and ensure the quality of a Georgetown Prep education for our current students as well as those to come.

The Annual Fund is the main fundraising vehicle for Prep to close the gap between tuition and our operating budget.

Why Give?

First, participating in the Annual Fund to the best of your ability is one of the most meaningful ways to show support for Georgetown Prep and the people who make a difference.

Second, the Annual Fund ensures quality in all that Prep is and does. It secures the current educational experience that we, as alumni, have come to value and respect. Our students deserve the best education that we can provide.

Third, donors who we approach for major investments in Prep put a high premium on the percentage of alumni and parents that support the Annual Fund. Generous and widespread support indicates to them that โ€œthe customers are satisfiedโ€ and the school is worthy of their investment.

What is our Goal?

Our goal for the 2016-17 Annual Fund is 30% Alumni Participation - 1,400 Alumni.

Updates
