About

Milken Institute School of Public Health (GWSPH) students are not waiting until graduation to get to work making a difference. They are applying what they are learning in our virtual classrooms, in health departments, and in laboratories in real-time to combat the most challenging public health crises of our time.

In 2020, more than 200 GWSPH student volunteers conducted critical COVID-19 pandemic response work, including case tracking, data analysis, and hospital administration support, assisting eight health departments in the D.C. metro area and many other efforts across the nation. During an extremely challenging time for public health and health care professionals, our students are stepping up to help. They are bravely diving into this work to promote health, safety, and well-being.

Your gifts to the GWSPH support these courageous students so that cost is never a barrier for the best and brightest to pursue a public health education, to roll up their sleeves, and to start making their mark on the world.
