Help WFWM Weather the Storms!

This campaign ends on December 31 at 11:59PM EST

As a loyal listener to WFWM Public Radio, you know we strive to be “Always Good Company.” Unfortunately, sometimes heavy snow, ice accumulation, and high winds can wreak havoc on power lines, causing disruptions that leave you out in the cold.

Help us weather the storms with your gift to install a new generator!

WFWM Public Radio’s transmitter site is located at Dan’s Rock, one of the highest points in the county, which makes the site particularly vulnerable to power outages. During last winter, WFWM was knocked off-air at least six times with one outage lasting almost 23 hours! It is difficult to be “Always Good Company” when our transmitter is knocked off-air.

Now, WFWM has been given a one-time only opportunity to remedy this issue. Frostburg State University has donated a generator to WFWM. The University’s generosity will save WFWM approximately $15,000. However, we still need to cover the approximate cost of $10,000 to install the generator.

Please help WFWM weather the storms by making your gift to support this initiative today!

With your support, we’ll make sure Western Marylanders can keep tuning their dials to 91.9 FM for good company — always!
