FHU Family--alumnus Mr. Douglas Robbins has issued a special challenge. Today, when you and 599 others make a gift during FHU Challenge 2021, he will make a $30,000 gift to benefit FHU students.
As one of the campus groups participating in the FHU Challenge, Sigma Rho is raising money for the Shane Ruiz Memorial Endowment Fund. This fund memorializes former FHU student, Shane Ruiz, who was serving on the club's annual spring break mission trip to the Dominican Republic when he lost his life in 2008.
On this mission trip, we primarily work with Manna Christian School to conduct various service projects.
Our club members really enjoy the opportunity to spend time with the children at Manna and the children’s home, teaching them more about the Bible and getting to know them better.
Each year, the endowment fund provides income to assist with the financial expenses incurred by members of Sigma Rho, who take part in the mission effort.
To help meet our overall challenge and to grow this endowment fund so that it will help more students spread the Gospel on this life-changing trip, we're asking 100 current and former members of Sigma Rho to contribute again this year!
Will you support the Black and Gold and make a gift today to support the Shane Ruiz Memorial Endowment Fund?
FHU Family you are amazing!
You answered the challenge with more than 600 gifts being made and Mr. Robbins has given $30,000 to benefit students!
But the day is still going strong and we have another exciting challenge. Once we reach 800 donors an anonymous donor is providing another $20,000 to benefit students!
