Foothill College Veterinary Technology

This campaign ended on January 07, 2020, but you can still make a gift to Foothill-De Anza Foundation by clicking here!

Foothill's Veterinary Technology program is a two-year Associates Degree program which is fully accredited by the American Veterinary Medical Association Committee on Veterinary Technician Education and Activities (A.V.M.A--C.V.T.E.A.).  Our Vet Tech graduates are eligible for State licensing as a Registered Veterinary Technician (R.V.T.)

Students who come to our program are passionate about the care of animals and know the important role our animals play in the lives of their owner families.

As a Veterinary Technician, duties include the nursing care and handling of animals, routine clinical laboratory procedures, radiography, surgical assistance, anesthesia, dentistry, emergency and critical care nursing, record keeping, equipment maintenance, and clinical education.

Foothill is one of the only seven programs in the state and the only community college accredited A.V.M.A. program that serves the San Francisco Bay Area.

Please consider supporting Foothill Veterinary Technology program.  Funds will be used to support the program with supplies and equipment to give our students the best possible training to care for your pets! 100% of our students have jobs at graduation, with veterinary employers clamoring for more!

Any amount will help!
