Help EHS Earn a $75,000 Challenge Gift!
A leadership group of generous Episcopal parents and alumni has set forth an exciting challenge for the EHS community: if we reach our 1,000 donor goal during the 24-hour fundraising effort on Thursday, April 7, the leadership group will donate an additional $75,000 to the Roll Call! Help support EHS students by making a tax-deductible donation before the end of the day on Thursday!

1 day. 1,000 donors. Immeasurable impact.
The 100% boarding EHS experience means 24/7 immersion in a community devoted to honor, leadership, and growth, and it simply would not be possible without the philanthropy of our alumni, families, and friends. Donations to our annual fund, The Roll Call, provide around 10% of the School's operating budget each year and benefit each and every current student.
Why Your Support Matters
The world needs citizens who are capable, compassionate, and honorable, and it is Episcopal's mission to prepare young people with the intellectual and moral courage to pursue lives of ethical leadership and service.
Episcopal is the only 100% boarding school located in a major metropolitan area, and philanthropy allows the School to take advantage of that fact and to provide a truly life-changing experience to every student.
We believe:
- Honor is both a pursuit and an expectation;
- Relationships in which students are known, valued, and supported are critical for academic success and character development, and they flourish most powerfully in a 100 percent residential community;
- The pursuit of knowledge, not merely its acquisition, is at the core of the academic experience, compelling one to take risks and to embrace and learn from failure;
- Passions, interests, and personal strengths are discovered when students engage in wide-ranging experiences in academics, athletics, the arts, and all areas of school life;
- Bridging the classroom with intriguing, real-world experiences amidst the vast resources of Washington, D.C., and beyond makes learning authentic and powerful;
- Intellectual development and moral growth are best nurtured in a vibrant and diverse learning community where close relationships help us understand, appreciate, and bridge our differences;
- Spiritual inquiry and service are key to self-discovery and developing empathy for others;
- High expectations and rigor, combined with close attention to the physical and emotional well-being of each child, lead students to thrive and be their best selves; and
- We are all part of something greater than ourselves with the capacity and responsibility to be a force for good in the lives of others.
If you believe in Episcopal's mission, join your fellow alumni, families, and friends in making a gift to The Roll Call today. Thank you in advance for your support!
GO HIGH SCHOOL!
At 9:23 p.m. Eastern, we refreshed our pages to see that Lexi Weger '18 had made the one thousandth gift, unlocking the $75,000 challenge gift and bringing the day's total Roll Call donations to well over $400,000. It has been thrilling and humbling to see the hundreds of familiar names of parents, alumni, faculty, and even our current seniors show up on the donor list. All of you have shown up - as you always do - to support Episcopal students and to ensure that the School's mission and values stay strong. All we can say is thank you.
Challenge Will Stay Open Until 12pm on Friday, April 8
With our goal already met and exceeded, we are going to keep the Challenge open until 12pm Eastern on Friday for our families, alumni, and friends near and far who may still wish to participate. The leaderboards are still neck-in-neck!
