Gifts to School of Engineering and Computer Science contribute to...
What your Power of One Day gifts will support:
- Help us jazz up the new Cyber Networking lab! We want students to feel like they are in a cool tech startup when they walk in this space! We need your support to make our vision a reality! (Goal: $10,000)
- Support our student clubs!
- Send the Etown CS Google Developers Student Club to a regional hackathon for $100-$500
- Pay for a night in a hotel at the SWE conference for our new SWE Student Section for $200 (Goal $600)
- Help our Robotics club (RMI) get competition-ready (goal $2,000)
- Grow our Holiday Toy Hack-a-thon! We need donations to purchase toys ($20-$50) and the electronics to make these toys accessible ($20+). Our goal in a couple of years is to fill the KAV with students of all majors soldering and hacking toys to bring extra joy during the holidays so these kids can play with their able-bodied friends! (Goal $2,000) More details here: https://news.etown.edu/index.php/2023/12/14/elizabethtown-college-engineering-students-adapt-toys-to-be-accessible-for-children-with-disabilities/
- As always, discretionary support is most welcome, as it enables us to be nimble and jump on opportunities as they arise! Some these include covering a research conference for students who have work accepted, saying ‘yes’ to a great, innovative, idea, and investing seed funding in initiatives like our Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day, Engineering Summer Academy, and our newly launched Summer Momentum Coding Academy (now all supported by other funding sources or financially sustainable! ).
